The theme for February is "History Whatzit." We all know that sometimes things are not what they seem, but then what ARE they? Discover answers on this fun and quirky tour of some of the museum's best history mysteries. From hundreds of millions of years ago to just yesterday, Ohio's history is full of surprises and intrigue. Hands-on activities for the entire family will round out your afternoon of enjoyment.

Children will talk for weeks about their experiences making ice cream, snowshoeing, meeting newborn calves, piglets, and sheep, and more.
Children can participate in hands-on activities scheduled throughout the day in addition to the regular daily Farmpark daily events.
- Making ice cream, bread, and preparing stone soup
- Make play clay, hand-dipped candles, and other crafts
- Help to plant plants you can take home
- Tour the Quilt Show featuring more than 225 quilted works
- See newborn calves, lambs, and piglets at play
- See Maple syrup being made in the Woodland Center
- Watch sheep shearing and lead a sheep around during "Sheepercize"
- Meet Cowboy Ben as he teaches the art of roping
- Snowshoeing, weather permitting.
- Discover how solar and wind power are harvested

This February 19-26, 2010, the community of Bowling Green welcomes its 2nd Annual Winterfest event with numerous fun-filled events for all ages. Ice sculptures will line the streets as the city celebrates its ice heritage with horse-drawn carriage rides, public curling, an ice skating show, pancake breakfast, one mile frostbite run, chili cook off, winter golf challenge, outside skating, a public auction with Jerry Anderson, and host of live entertainment events including a concert with renowned electric violinist Tracy Silverman. Savor the first taste of spring ... drop by the sugar house near Krippendorf Lodge anytime between 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Experience the whole process of producing liquid gold from maple sap. Bask in the warmth of the evaporator and its maple-scented steam. Join in an interactive sap-collecting maple hike at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. Hikes start at the sugar house. A self-guided maple trail is also available.
